1. Find the official award page

Go to the university or scholarship provider’s website. Match the award name in the post with the official listing. Check the intake or academic year.

Social posts can stay online after a deadline has passed. A screenshot may also leave out conditions. Use the official page for the full terms and ask the provider if a detail is unclear.

2. Check who can apply

Read the country, course, study-level and academic requirements. Some awards are limited to particular programmes or need a separate application. Others may require an offer first.

Do not assume that a scholarship for international students includes every nationality or course. Make a list of the rules and compare each one with your own details.

  • Is Nepal included in the eligible countries?
  • Is my study level and course covered?
  • Do I meet the academic rules?
  • Do I need an offer before applying?

3. Read what the award covers

Check whether the award is a fee reduction, a payment or support for certain costs. Find out whether it covers one year or the full course. Read any rules about keeping the award.

A partial tuition award may still leave a large amount to fund. Put the award beside the full course and living budget so your family can see the remaining cost.

4. Check all the dates

The course deadline and scholarship deadline may be different. Record the date, time zone and documents needed for each. Give yourself time to gather evidence and ask questions.

If the deadline is missing or the page refers to an earlier intake, ask the provider whether a current application round is available. Avoid guessing from an old advertisement.

5. Wait for written confirmation

Read any award offer carefully. Check the conditions, acceptance deadline and payment method. Save the original message and verify it through the provider if needed.

Until the award is confirmed, treat it as a possible option. Genius Grove can help you discuss scholarship questions, but the scholarship provider decides eligibility and awards.

What to remember

Check the official page, your eligibility, the amount covered and the deadline. Add the award to your confirmed budget only after you receive a valid offer.
